Reading and Math "Skills" Teacher

 

Reports to: Building Principal

 

General Summary: The interventionist will serve as a reading and math interventionist. He or she understands concepts of literacy, is knowledgeable with reading/math strategies and interventions, has the ability to collaborate, utilizes data driven instructional practices, collects data and understands digital assessment. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Make instructional decisions for students regarding interventions
  • Analyze data and organize intervention groups
  • Progress monitoring/regrouping
  • Guide and support intervention team
  • Works with classroom teacher on Tier 1 interventions
  • Member of building RTI team
  • Attend PLC to help with intervention plans
  • Attend parent teacher conferences when requested
  • Co-teaching and push-in support

 

Qualifications:

  • Education–  Valid Teaching license
  • Approachable, organized, servant leader, reliable
  • Preferred: Special education, RTI experience

 

 Position Type: Exempt
