Reports to: Athletic Director
General Summary: The Pool Supervisor will work closely with the Pool Instructor, the AM Pool Supervisor and the Athletic Department. They will oversee the nightly routine of open swim and ensure that safety is top priority.
Essential Functions:
- Unlock and lock the facility at the beginning and end of operations. Remain on deck until all patrons have exited the facility.
- Oversees lifeguards on duty and help maintain a safe environment
- Knowledgeable on and follow WCS emergency action plan.
- Ensure that no patron is allowed on deck until all lifeguards are in their chairs.
- Collect money from patrons upon entry.
- Assist all lifeguard on duty as needed.
- Communicate work operations with Pool Instructor, AM Pool Supervisor and the Athletic Department.
- Assists with emergencies on deck or in pool facilities.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork for accidents/discipline problems are completed per WCS guidelines. Contact Athletic Department and HR with any serious incidents.
- Performs other reasonable related duties as may be assigned by supervisor(s)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Knowledge of all aspects of aquatics
- Be able to work with all age groups
