Reports to: Principal/School STEM Coach

General Summary: The STEM Lab Assistant helps with providing a safe learning environment where children's individual needs are met. This position supports the STEM Lab with varying job responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist students/teachers with labs, as when needed
• Inventory/organize STEM lab materials to ensure available and accessible
• Clean up and set up of labs (setup tables, chairs, wash dishes and resources needed)
• Wash/dry lab coats in school laundry
• Regular maintenance of STEM lab- sweep, dust, wipe tables down, restock resources
• Feed & water STEM critters and clean cages
• Clean and organize STEM & Technology storage rooms
• Inventory Technology resources
• Inventory Consumables-inform STEM coach of items that need reordered
• Be familiar with all inventory to help meet the needs of teachers
• Communicate well with STEM Coach
• Assist in classrooms and outdoor learning experiences as another set of hands
• Other duties, as needed

Qualifications

• Education - High School Diploma (minimum), 48 college credits/Associate's Degree OR ability to pass the ParaPro Assessment
• Excellent written and oral communications are required.
